Board

Church and Peace's board, the Administrative Committee, oversees the network's business and manages its finances. The Committee reflects Church and Peace's denominational, geographic and membership diversity. Its members are elected for three-year term.

Antje Heider-Rottwilm - Chair

Antje Heider-Rottwilm is a pastor working at the ecumenical HafenCity project in Hamburg, and is co-founder of a new group of the Laurentiuskonvent of which she has been a members since 1979. Antje served as Europe director of the Evangelical Church in Germany for 11 years and on the Presidium of the Conference of European Churches. She has been a member of the Administra- tive Committee since 2009.

Bruno Sägesser - Vice Chair

Bruno Sägesser is a Mennonite and an individual member of Church and Peace from Switzerland. He has contributed to the elaboration of the law on con- scientious objection and counseled Swiss conscientious objectors in the application and hearing process. He has been an Administrative Committee member since 2001.

Brian Tracy - Treasurer

Brian Tracy is a member of the Quaker group in Heidelberg, Germany, and a delegate of the German Yearly Meeting of Friends (Quakers) to Church and Peace. He works with students in a university exchange program. He has been a member of the Administrative Committee since 2006.

Elisabeth Freise

Elisabeth Freise is Catholic and an individual member of Church and Peace. Elisabeth is Southeastern Europe program director at the international Christian peace service agency EIRENE and organizes orientation and re-entry seminars for volunteers and and professional peace workers. She has served in the Administrative Committee since 2009.

Dr. theol. Hans Häselbarth

Hans Häselbarth is a Lutheran minister. He worked for 10 years in Africa and served for many years as pastoral and spiritual director for the Communität Christusbruderschaft Selbitz. He is active in theological reflection and pastoral ministry with the Selbitz community’s Third Order. He has been an Administra- tive Committee member since 2009.

Brigitte Mesdag

Brigitte Mesdag lives in France She has been a member of the Ark Community of Lanza del Vasto since 1982. She facilitates nonviolence and world dance and prayer workshops. She is a Church and Peace Administrative Committee member since 2007

Janna Postma

Janna Postma is a Mennonite pastor in the Netherlands and an individual member of Church and Peace.  She has been a member of  the International Fellowship of Reconciliation steering committee and of the network Servicio Paz y Justicia. She belongs to a Dutch group (“Recognition”) that brings together persons who have suffered as a result of their parents’ or grandparents’ collaboration with the Nazi occupation. She has served on the Administrative Committee since 2009.

Ian Ring

Ian Ring is a minister of the United Reformed Church. He  serves as minister of the Beacon Church Centre, Rubery near Birmingham and is the Coordinator of the Community for Reconciliation (CfR) since 2001. CfR runs a retreat centre in Worcestershire and supports peace in reconciliation work in Croatia, Romania, India and East Africa. He has served on the Administrative Committee since 2009.

Branka Srnec

Branka Srnec is a Baptist and lives in Novi Sad, Serbia.  She is co-director of the NGO Tabita, which became a member of Church and Peace in 2009.Tabita began its humanitarian work in 1991 and runs several educational, health  and peace-building projects in Novi Sad and Voivodina, especially among minorities. Branka has served on the Administrative Committee since 2009.
