How do individuals and communities truly heal after conflict?

This conference invites speakers and participants to explore this important question together in a variety of ways during a weekend full of learning opportunities, reflection, and encounters. We will draw on experience, wisdom, and imagination to encourage each other on the path to healing and a new community life.

The programme includes keynote speeches, practical workshops and creative sessions, as well as the opportunity and space to network with other participants who are also committed to peace work.

Jane Kinninmont – Chief Executive Officer at the United Nations Association, UK und Siniša Klem – Baptist theologian, Board Member Church and Peace, Croatia will give the keynote speeches on Saturday.

The themes of the workshops will be:

„Fingerprint Labyrinth for the right to peaceful protest“ – Iona community, UK

„Responding to militarisation of faith and society“ – John Cooper – Fellowship of Reconciliation, UK

„Far-right and the two hands of non-violence “ – Lisa Cumming – Quaker Peace and Social Witness, UK

„Practical tools based workshop“ – Girma Bishaw – Director and Founder of Gratitude Initiative, UK

„Trinity and Trauma: Faith that Heals“ – Nathanuel Reuss – St Bart’s Anglican Church, UK

„Healing the hurts of war“ – Rev’d Clive Fowle – UK

„The role of the Body in Individual & Collective Healing Processes“  – Ulrike Flämig – Activist Refo Moabit, Germany

Organised by Christian peace organisations, the conference will include prayer and worship, yet we warmly welcome participants and speakers of all faiths and beliefs.

Live interpretation between French, English and German will be provided for the main events. We will use a mobile phone app. Please bring headphones for your mobile phones if you need interpretation. We will organise interpretation during the workshops as required.

To enter the UK from the EU, you will need a passport and an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). This can be obtained at https://www.gov.uk/eta.

The travel usually takes you via London. From there is a train connection to Milton Keynes. The journey takes about an hour. The conference venue is 6.5 km from the station. We will organise a pick-up service if possible. It takes 10 minutes by taxi.
