Steering Committee of SND

Since April 2024, the Rethinking Security initiative (SND) has been under the legal umbrella of Church and Peace. Rethinking Security is working towards a civil security policy and, through its coordinator Ralf Becker, is in dialogue with various groups from civil society, politics and religion about its feasibility.

Currently, 17 people in the steering committee are working on constantly updated scenarios that outline a disarmed and civilian-secured future. Six model regions in Germany are currently trialling how this paradigm shift can be lived and shaped in real-life laboratories.
